Where you do conduct ceremonies?

I usually conduct ceremonies throughout Sydney and nearby regions. If your wedding is further afield, please contact me to discuss.

What are your fees?

Please see the Fees page for full details of my fees.

What's the first step?

To begin, please contact me to see if I’m available for your wedding date. If so, you may book me, and upon paying a deposit fee my services will be confirmed (please see ‘Fees’ section for details). We’ll then make a date to get together and take care of the legal paperwork, and discuss the logistics and your ceremony in detail.

If you have questions prior to booking me, please feel free to call, Skype (nichollandonskype) or email me.

Can you help create our ceremony?

Absolutely. Most couples are unsure about what to include in their ceremony. I'm happy to assist you with composing all the content, and will offer you suggestions and samples for you to look over together. Together, we'll create a ceremony that is special and unforgettable, and totally reflects your personalities.

Can you help with our ceremony content?

Yes, if you need any additional guidance or ideas let me know. I may be able to help you in your search for any other services you may require, such as musicians, photographers or make-up artists.

What happens after the first offical meeting?

We stay in touch by phone and email and work together to refine your ceremony and make sure all the important details are sorted out well before your marriage date.

Do we have a rehearsal?

The next most important meeting is your wedding rehearsal.

This is not mandatory, but highly recommended if you can manage it. It's the best opportunity to make sure your ceremony will flow the way you want. Therefore the more people from your bridal party that can attend, the better.
It will make everyone much more relaxed about the big day itself, and is also a good opportunity for your family and friends to meet each other, if they haven't already done so.

Ideally the rehearsal can take place at your actual wedding venue, but if not, your home or even a nearby park will suffice.

Do we sign anything else?

At the end of the ceremony you and your witnesses will each sign three documents. However, there is one other form (Form 14 declaration) that you and your partner both need to sign just prior to the wedding day. The rehearsal is a great time to do that, but otherwise we will need to meet at least once more prior to the actual wedding to take care of that.

What happens on our Wedding Day?

I will ensure that your wedding ceremony meets all your expectations. You can be confident that your ceremony will be just as you planned, so you will be able to relax and enjoy the excitement of your very special day.

I will arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony and liaise with everyone involved (eg your photographer, musicians, venue organizers etc). I will also welcome all of your guests and do my utmost to create a calm and joyful atmosphere.

What happens after the service?

I will leave you with a ceremonial Certificate of Marriage and a copy of your personalised Wedding Ceremony. The next day I will lodge all the necessary legal documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages to finalise the legal process.
